New – Road Closure
| A temporary road closure will be in place along Rodway Crudgington Moors Road Junction To B5062, Cherrington, Newport. National Grid are planning to undertake new supply works. The work is set to commence on Monday 21st September 2026 and will last for a duration of 5 days with an end date of Friday 25th September 2026. The diversion route for vehicular traffic travelling in all directions will be signed on site. |

Latest update from the Co-ordinator Lindon Lloyd – September 2026
“I took over as coordinator in May 2025; there have been relatively few publicly reported incidents in Tibberton itself. One theft within the village was reported through Neighbourhood Watch channels earlier in the year.
While our area remains comparatively low crime, residents should remain vigilant regarding thefts, scams, rogue traders and suspicious activity.
Property marking, vehicle security and prompt reporting to police remain some of the most effective ways of reducing crime and improving intelligence for our local policing team.
- Local Policing and Community Safety – Our local police team continues to maintain a presence and regularly engages with the community. As always, if you see suspicious activity, please report it promptly through the appropriate channels and don’t assume someone else has done so.
- Scam and Fraud Awareness – Please remain vigilant regarding doorstep callers, rogue traders, and telephone or online scams. If someone calls at your door unexpectedly: • Ask for identification • Do not feel pressured into making immediate decisions • Be careful when making card payments and always check the amount before authorising any transaction • If more than one caller is present, keep all individuals in view.
- Vehicle Security – As we move into darker evenings: • Always lock your vehicle, even when parked on your driveway • Remove valuables from sight • Do not leave Christmas or other valuable purchases visible in vehicles • Never leave a vehicle unattended with the engine running while defrosting or warming up. This is an offence and creates an opportunity for theft.
- Personal Safety – With shorter days approaching: • Wear reflective or high-visibility clothing when walking, cycling, or exercising near roads • Carry a torch where appropriate • Look out for elderly or vulnerable neighbours, particularly during poor weather and darker evenings.
- Community Spirit – Neighbourhood Watch is most effective when residents look out for one another. Please continue to: • Report suspicious behaviour • Share relevant information with neighbours • Support vulnerable members of our community • Join and follow the Tibberton Neighbourhood Watch Facebook page or review the Parish Council web page for local updates and crime prevention advice.
